The Service League of Natchitoches, Inc., is an organization of women dedicated to helping those in need and supporting the cultural, historical, educational and charitable endeavors of Natchitoches, thus enhancing the efficiency of community service.

Since 1950, the League’s membership has diligently raised money to fund its many worthwhile projects, including the restoration of the Prudhomme-Rouguier House. Noted as the largest bousillage house in the United States, the Prudhomme-Rouquier House is home to the League.

The house, listed on the National Register of Historic Places by the National Park Service and found in the National Historic Landmark District of Natchitoches, was built at the turn of the 18th Century by Francois Rouquier for his wife, Marie Louise Prudhomme. The Service League of Natchitoches Inc., restored and operates the property with proceeds from the sale of their three cookbooks. The House is available for special event rentals and open for tours by appointment.
